We stayed in Harborview Grande 507 in April 2013 and would just like to say that we had such a fantastic time there and it made our stay in Clearwater Beach special. Our party consisted of three adults, two adult children and twins of 9 and the condo accommodated us all perfectly. Lots of space for us to spread out. The facilities at the condo were excellent and the décor was fabulous, really clean and fresh and obviously quality furnishings which were greatly appreciated, we traveled down to Clearwater Beach from a villa in Clermont which was beautiful and the condo was equally so. The balcony was very spacious and we all fitted on there with plenty of room and enjoyed our breakfast looking out at the amazing view, it was so nice. I would just like to say that the staff at Florida Beach Rentals were very friendly and very helpful, us being British we like our cup of tea and when we asked if there was a kettle available staff provided us with a new one straight away which was much appreciated! Also upon our arrival Jan at the office was so helpful and friendly and gave us lots of information about the local area which was a great help and made us feel very welcome. The only thing I would say that on a couple of occasions there was a lot of noise/very loud music coming from Shepards Resort Hotel opposite the condo, you couldn’t hear it inside the condo but on the Sunday 21st April when we arrived there was some sort of event and the music was excessively loud until the early ours of the morning, obviously if this had continued every day then there would have been an issue with it, I would say that it is a shame this resort hotel is actually allowed to host this type of music event in what is mostly a residential area of Clearwater Beach, that said however our vacation was amazing and we would use this condo again as the location is exceptional and the standard very high in all areas. 'Central Gulf Coast'
Clearwater Beach is one of the destination beaches with all the typical vacation activities you would expect in a beach community, including a wide variety of restaurants, charter fishing trips, dolphin watching tours, jet skiing and such.
Just to the East of Clearwater Beach is a small island called Island Estates. This residential island offers a variety of amenities such as The Island Way Grill, the closest grocery store, banking, and the Clearwater Beach Aquarium where the movie 'Dolphin Tale' was filmed. A history of Clearwater Beach can be found in our blog pages. Click here for a list of Clearwater Beach restaurants.
Heading down the coast to the south is Sand Key. This is the perfect location for an extended stay in the area. The high-rise condos here mostly have minimum stays of a month, with the exception of a couple of buildings that allow as few as two weeks. Although Sand Key has two hotel chains, it is more laid back without the activities of its neighboring Clearwater Beach, just a short Jolly Trolley ride way.
The next stop on your way south from Clearwater Beach to St. Pete Beach is Belleair Beach.
This beach is all residential living and fairly restricted to only the residents of the area, however it is a nice part of the drive to see the beach mansions.
Indian Rocks Beach
Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores is the next area that supports vacation rentals. Here you will find plenty of good restaurants and a few shops but don't expect to see too much in the respect of beach activities. However, you can still get to Clearwater Beach for action with a short drive North.
Before you get to Madeira Beach, there is Redington Shores, North Redington Beach and Redington Beach. All three beaches are very similar and have a good mix of residential and vacation rentals. Being mostly the same as Indian Rocks Beach, it does not offer a lot if you are looking for an activity filled vacation.
This again is the place you are going to want to go if you are looking for a nice quiet beach for sun-seeking and beach walks. From here, head south to Madeira Beach and Treasure Island to whet your appetite for beach activities.
Speaking of Madeira Beach, that is our next stop on our way down the Central Gulf Coast. Madeira Beach is a great place to stay on a tighter budget. Here we have more high-rise condos that allow weekly rentals. Similar to Clearwater Beach, it has a lot of beach vacation activity with shopping, boat tours and restaurants. John's Pass Bridge provides the access to the southern beaches of Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach.
We are the Clearwater Beach Hotel alternative, offering condos up to 50% off the rate of expensive hotels.
Why pay more for less, when you can have the best?
